Soak in beauty of scenic spa
  • Higashiyama Onsen is a quiet spa in a scenic valley just outside Aizu-Wakamatsu City in Fukushima Prefecture.
  • Travel time from Tokyo is about 90 minutes by the shinkansen north to Koriyama, and then about 60 minutes by an express train on the Banetsusai Line to Aizu-Wakamatsu. Frequent buses make the brief run from Aizu-Wakamatsu station to the spa, or you can take a taxi.
